Vanessa Ilana Péan grew up playing on the soccer fields of Fairfax County, Va. She was known for her sportsmanship, strong athletic ability, and radiant smile. Vanessa mesmerized soccer fans with her amazingly long throw-ins, often placed directly in front of the goal. A captain of the Great Falls Strikers, Vanessa was a natural leader.
